Beathazard Recordings releases the first album of Kapi’s alter ego, Downrocks, straight from Barcelona, deep into the Electro Funk.

It compiles 15 songs where there are some unpublished tracks, and everything else has been, updated, upgraded and re-edited. It includes several versions called “Stage reconstruction”, produced for the live gigs and concerts, with different machinery and extended structures, which allow us to glimpse what is the level of Downrocks’s live sound.

Intron includes in addition 3 remixes exclusively made for this record, from friends-producers that fly near to this particular Electro sound:

  • Dark Vektor (Barcelona)
  • Invisible Rockers Crew (Greece)
  • Dynamik Bass System (Germany)

Out now! Fabric 60 Dave Clarke featuring Heliopause

“It is a sonic journey man…don’t you hate that!

I wanted to have a gothic and bass heavy start that represented the sonic characteristics that Room 2 is capable of handling.

I also wanted it to have some real electro, as Fabric is one place that can truly appreciate that.

It’s all pretty dark though and I think it represents the edgier side of club music that you only get to hear in clubs that care.” DC

The Weird World of Blowfly Trailer (2011) HD

Acclaimed Miami musician Clarence Reid could easily be your cranky grandfather… until he puts on the gold-spangled superhero costume of his alter ego, Blowfly,

and starts singing some of the filthiest songs you’ve ever heard in your life.

A major force in the Miami soul scene of the 60s and 70s, Reid wrote Top-10 songs for some of the greatest R&B acts of the era,

while at the same time, his X-rated recordings and stage antics as Blowfly made him a star of the “party record” scene.

Having changed the game in 1965 with what might be the world’s first rap song, Blowfly has shocked and grooved audiences for over forty years since.

Today, he is still on tour, struggling for success and recognition after 50 years of making music. An intimate and revealing portrait,

The Weird World of Blowfly celebrates Reid’s musical and cultural significance, and paints a picture of an unheralded, hilarious,

and stunningly profane man that is as touching as it is obscene.

Dave Clarke “the Baron of techno” feature Heliopause on the new fabric 60 mix, looking forward to this beauty, awesome!

Clarke, once dubbed “the Baron of techno” by the BBC’s John Peel, has long specialized in the darkest and toughest strains of club music, from his breakthrough Red Series 12-inches in the ’90s to his DJ sets around world today. fabric 60 shows him running at full tilt. “I wanted to have a gothic and bass heavy start that represented the sonic characteristics that Room 2 is capable of handling,” he says. “It’s all pretty dark though and I think it represents the edgier side of club music that you only get to hear in clubs that care.” Rather than looking back on old favourites, Clarke sticks mostly to records from the past two or three years. Though techno is the order of the day, he also finds a place for one of his other fetishes: electro. “Fabric is one place that can truly appreciate that.”
